We weren’t really sure what to expect when we volunteered to host Hoosier Code 4 Health. We had hoped the event would attract some of Indiana’s finest IT and Healthcare professionals. And, we hoped that these professionals would be crazy enough to devote their entire weekend–36 hours straight, in some cases– to developing potential solutions to some common logistical problems associated with the management of chronic diseases.
So, we filled the break room at the Lilly COI Center with plenty of caffeinated beverages and high-carb snacks, and hoped for the best.
We were glad to have the opportunity to meet with so many people who are passionate about technology and transforming healthcare. We are grateful to all the participants, to Social Health Insights and the Indy Chamber for planning the event and to all of our esteemed judges and mentors.
We were not disappointed.
Lilly COI’s main focus is on driving innovation in clinical drug development. However, we do understand that clinical drug development is only a small part of the overall Healthcare Ecosystem. We strongly support open innovative methods to drive value to patients throughout the entire ecosystem.
We also are committed to working locally with the gifted and inventive talent in our community to help create a patient-centric culture in healthcare.
For these reasons, we are thrilled to have the honor of sponsoring and hosting Indiana’s first ever health-focused codeathon, Hoosier Code for Health, in partnership with Social Health Insights, Lodestone Logic and the Indy Chamber.
The codeathon will take place on Saturday, July 13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, July 14 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Lilly COI Center.
The event is part of the Hoosier Healthcare Innovation Challenge, which kicks off with a reception on Thursday, June 27 and a one-day conference on Friday, July 12.
